About Arthur Hayes

Arthur holds a BSc in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and worked as a derivatives trader for major international investment banks in Hong Kong before starting BitMEX. For many years the largest trading venue in the world for crypto, BitMEX’s success was driven by the invention of the Perpetual Swap, a crypto derivative instrument offering high leverage with spot-like features that remains the most highly traded and liquid instrument in the crypto markets today.
